~Shiro~ -Lugia realisim-

ONE YEAR. This took me ONE WHOLE YEAR to first come up with, draw in detail -- spanning THREE pieces of printer paper -- attempt to paint, fail, attempt again, and finally, finish this painting. Sheesh, not even my Smaug design took so long.... But with this being finished now, I can say that, for four years in a row, I have made at least one Lugia picture each April. Strange, this month seems to be so Lugia-oriented for me. Oh well -- have a look at my very first Lugia painting (and first painting ever) and see how far I've come: fav.me/d2oir7o

So yet again, here is my favorite of all pokémon, Lugia, as seen at the Whirl Islands in Soul Silver. This was first inspired by Shiro from the Wolf's Rain soundtrack (hence the title), listening to it during a Pokémon-high last year. (I'd suggest you find it and listen to it, too, while viewing this picture to get the "feeling" for the picture I was going for.) Sorry for putting my signature on the wings, but I am NOT letting another picture of mine fall victim to art theft.

I've been replaying Pokémon Snap lately, because I've been watching a guy on YouTube do a "Let's Play" of the game, and he got me wanting to play it. Finally, after all these years of owning the game and driving myself nuts, I find the pokémon I was missing from the report -- and by accident: Muk! And now, I'm driving myself nuts in another way: trying to beat scores. -.-' I do wish I could show off some of my cooler shots! Maybe I'll draw them up.
The dude who did the "Let's Play" also said that it would be cool if there could be a 3DS sequel to Snap. And I agree; that would be awesome.

UGHHH my hand hurts after this one.... I think I got to know each of those feathers one by one. @.@ And hmm.... I think that the grainy shading of the pencil drawing helped to give texture to Lugia's feathers and skin.
